Connecting with economists, environmentalists, and budding computational social scientists

In June, Milena gave a keynote talk at WEHIA 2025 – The 28th Annual Workshop on Economics with Heterogeneous Interacting Agents hosted by Queen Mary University, then rushed to Brussels for a week-long GenAI Research Retreat organized by Prof. Viktoria Spaiser to explore new generative AI methods for understanding dynamic complex social and socio-ecological systems, and came back for a keynote talk at the 2025 London Summer Institute in Computational Social Science organized by UCL Computer Science and Imperial College Business School. HUMANET is thus spreading the idea of human-machine social systems to economists, sustainability scholars, and the next generation of computational social scientists. We are thankful for the inspiring conversations and look forward to productive future collaborations!
